Pets
Ok ive searched around on forum and seen where to get pets but i dont know where the places they are naming are?
Im looking for pets as binned my stalker pre searing in hope of something more evil. But cant find any now. Any tips on where to find some - would like an evil stalker or a bear perhaps? Went back to reagent valley to find some where they were last time - ie near fountain/statue that heals you but cant seem to find my way back, plus every now and then i get gang mobbed and killed. *posted here as in question thread no reply and its seems a bit busier down here* |

lets get this short you can tame:
pre searing: wolf moa strider bear stalker warthog post searing: everything above + snowwolf black widow (spider ) dune lizard and a yellow catthing near krytia my guess the most evil thing is the black widow found in the underworld. |

The reason you can't find a wider variety of pets to tame is because you are still in Pre-searing Ascalon which is basically the tutorial for the reast of the game. I suggest that you speak with Sir Tydus and go through the academy. The rest of the game will then be available to you.

it would help if you told us where you need to go so we could give you directions, but otherwise I suggest you just continue on with the main story line, i've spotted nearly every animal on the main story line except the few I haven't reached |

Ok thanks for help anyways.
Im somewhere not got a clue where, best way to describe it out of old asc, down path over hill, left and then ahead for a bit till hit some aquaducts and loads of bandits and elementalists, up little road is mechant and a sgt somebody, behind is portal going somewhere. spot the noob huh? See just need to know where to go - ive explore most the starting burnt out level and would just need for eg "go to by the breach, turn left and ahead" or something. No worries i shall continue my search just didnt want max out on xp looking as want a pet for the arena, but not too far off lvl10 so will have to wait till i get to Lions gate is it? |

Hi Gortz,
I found the same problem when I first went hunting for me post-searing pet. There arn't many choices in the starting areas. In the end I went for the easy choice of a Mao Bird. Soon had it up a few levels and it rocked. Where? you ask. Well, here is the trick! Don't look for it in the post-searing exploration zone. Just start the first mission (Defend the wall thing) and they are here. Run past the men fighting scorps, over the bridge, kill the mobs to the first boss. Use lever, through the door and follow the path. They are on the path in front of you. Grab one and go kick butt! Enjoy. |

the defece of the northern wall thing?
OK must admit havent done that saw loads of higher lvl guys around there and thought ok ive gone into a high lvl zone and went back. so in old asc, nothern wall follow ur bits - got it ta very much. Seen those moa birds all around towards regent valley tbh but dont fancy big bird as my "fearsome" pet... will have a look see and see what i can grab Must admit was losing faith there for a while, as been on other forums and stuff and just see longer term players slating new guys even on forums, closing posts and telling them to search and stuff in angry emotes. Been on a few forums of mmorpgs and i like helping out newer guys, if i get asked same question I always saw a bunch of answers not one saying search u noob! My view if cant be bothered to reply to questions that may of been asked before then dont deserve to be guild leader or forum admin. (wave bye as account gets closed). |

pre-sear bear is possible, just a royal pain to time, and it's not possible solo.
clear out the spiders behind the temple where where you get the kitty. far enough back in the canyon on the right is a group of bears. kite said bear back to the temple, you will need to reagro him several times to pull that far. have a warrior/monk waiting for you there, with a level 1 blunt weapon. chill with bear by the statue for a bit, neither of you will take dmg, and he'll keep agro cause he's dumb and you aren't moving. the warrior runs off to the left, where a bunch of lvl 1 grawl are. builds up adrenaline until full. warrior comes back to you and the bear. The moment the bear starts a brutal maul(not mid, but starts, he'll lean back on all fours before he stands up, you have to catch him exactly as he starts to lean back) start charm animal. The warrior has to time the next part perfect with the maul. Just as the maul is landing, warrior hits with hammer bash. Count off about 1 second, as the knockdown animation time is around 3 seconds. Fire Bane Signet at the right time, and it will knock the bear down again, before he can break charm. Last edited by JAGeAkurei; May 13, 2005 at 02:53 PM // 14:53.. |

Ran into some friendly snow wolf outside of Yak's Bend. We were walking for awhile and 2 were there. I would say that whole area would probably have the snow wolves.
